Carey Mulligan on Vogue's cover

According to Jezebel, Carey Mulligan says the clothes Vogue had on hand for her October shoot were so tiny that in the cover photo, she’s actually wearing a towel over her ass.

In a Daily Express item amusingly titled “Carey Mulligan Says Size Mattered For Vouge” [sic], Mulligan explains,

The cover dress was very pretty but wouldn’t go over my a***. Sample size is very, very tiny. I’m actually wearing a towel around my waist and the bottom is clipped up because I couldn’t fit.

Take-home message: not only do magazines airbrush their photos, but sometimes the subjects aren’t even really wearing the clothes. It’s enough to make you want to vouge your eyes out.
