She wanted to save Michael Jackson

According to Lisa Marie Presley, Michael Jackson was destined to die, but she would have tried harder to save him, reports People.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the former wife of the King of Pop said: “I know it’s naive to think that I could, but I would have liked.”

Remember that Michael Jackson died in June 2009 at the age of 50, following an overdose of propofol, a powerful sedative.

Lisa Marie Presley says the popularity and power of Jackson were such that it was difficult for people to confront him over his bad habits.

“If he did not want us around, if it is confronted about something he did not see, he could make us leave, including his own family. I think it was a train that went in one direction and that nobody could stop. ”

Recall that Lisa Marie Presley married the singer in 1994 and they divorced shortly after.

Speaking of the last discussion she had with Jackson in 2005, Presley said the singer asked her if she had loved. “I told him that I was indifferent. He did not like that word. He cried. ”

Note that Presley, aged 42 years and mother of four children, now lives in England with her husband, guitarist Michael Lockwood.
