Orlando Bloom will appear before a judge within a courthouse in Los Angeles next week about a burglary that took place at his home in Hollywood Hills in July 2009.
Last summer, while the actor was 33 years in New York, burglars broke into a bedroom of his residence through a window unlocked. No signs of break-ins had been found by police. The authorities were then scanned the scene and attempted to take fingerprints of criminals.
The criminals attacked the extensive collection of jewels Orlando accumulated over a decade. Police estimate the value of the missing jewelry is more than half a million dollars.
Orlando Bloom will testify against Alexis Neiers, 18, who faces a charge of theft, to which she has pleaded not guilty, a few months ago.
The young woman is part of a network of juvenile burglars, who police said were suspected of having committed several robberies that took place over a dozen months in which they have infiltrated the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson and other young celebrities. The gang allegedly stole items worth a total luxurious three million dollars.
