Jared Followill, band member in the Kings of Leon, announced on his Twitter account that he was suffering from flu, putting in to doubt the Kings of Leon’s appearance at London’s Hyde Park on the 22nd and 23rd of June. Jared went on to assure fans however, that while he would be less active, there would be no doubt that the show would continue as planned, adding ‘I don’t miss shows. Never have.’
This assurance is sure to please fans around the world, not only as they are in the process of a global tour, followers of which would be greatly saddened to miss the Nashville band play.
The Kings of Leon’s 2011 tour, for their new album Come Around Sundown sees them play to host countries including Denmark, Scotland, Sweden, Belgium and South Africa to name a few.
The followill family are also set to release a documentary, Talihina Sky, which shows them during their rise to fame. They also however, revealed that a number of tapes featuring the footage had been stolen. Caleb added ‘There’s a couple of sex tapes…that got stolen’, which certainly does nothing to shy away from their nefarious pasts of excesses in all forms. Nathan went on to say that the band members are very revealing of themselves. The sex tape(s) certainly do suggest as such.
The documentary, Talihina Sky is set to premier at the Edinburgh film Festival in June, with wide release coming soon after, and what better to get you in the mood for a global tour than a global release of their documentary, reminding fans exactly why it is they’re loved?
The Kings of Leon bring the year to a close with shows in Melbourne Australia in November, tickets for which are already available. American Express credit card holders can also benefit from being able to pay for their tickets in part, or in full using their credit card Rewards Points.
